THE FIRST UPCYCLED DOLL OUTFIT OF ITS KIND

THE FIRST UPCYCLED DOLL OUTFIT OF ITS KIND

When we learned about the upcycling fashion brand The R Collective and its founder Christina Dean, we fell in love with the thought of “Putting waste back into wardrobes”. Having sustainability and the empowerment of the creative youth at heart, the idea of the very first upcycled doll outfit of its kind was born – designed by children and produced with donated leftover fabric from international luxury fashion houses.

CREATED BY KIDS4KIDS

Early 2021, we announced a global design contest for children to design an outfit for our I’M A WOW 14-inch dolls and were absolutely thrilled to see all those design proposals coming in. After heartfelt discussions, two winners have emerged – Lilly (11) and Marek (8). The talented young designers and lucky winners have received an I’M A GIRLY price package each and are now official members of our KIDS4KIDS Design Club.

THE RESULT – CREATED BY KIDS4KIDS AND MADE WITH RE-LOVED MATERIAL

The fancy and fluffy fake fur jacket in brilliant blue gives every outfit that certain something and is designed by Marek (8) from Poland.
As chic and at the same time sassy as it gets – this two-piece set is all the rage and is designed by Lilly (11) from the USA.
Together, this on fleek outfit is the perfect first look for our I’M A WOW Upcycling Collection. More to come!
